The easiest and fastest way to build and maintain high performance render farms of any size

RenderFarmer Studio

Studio Edition is designed for larger render farms and comes with licenses for 35 render nodes. It is highly customizable and can be adapted to any pipeline.

The emphasis is on rapid scalability, ease of management, and drastic reduction of the support burden associated with maintaining farms of compute nodes.

PXE booting render nodes can be fully diskless and will ignore an existing hard drive. This means it's easy to network boot your workstations at night and fully utilize all of your processing power.

Also, the boot images are hardware agnostic. ANY hardware that can PXE boot can join your render farm and get right to work without ther hassle of supporting multiple hardware profiles, drivers, etc.

Whether you are implementing a new farm or have existing render nodes, there is no faster or easier way to deploy a render cluster. The shared root environment means that every node network boots and comes up fully configured with render engines, libraries, render queue client software, etc. Already there, already configured!

Supported render engines include Maya, Blender, BMRT (RenderMan), and many more! The "custom" job type can be used to support any render engine that has a command line rendering option that can run on Linux.

See the Features page and the RenderFarmer Studio main page for more details.

RenderFarmer Lite

Lite Edition is for home offices or small render farms and comes with licenses for 8 render nodes. It is easy to use and allows anyone with basic computer skills to quickly install a powerful render farm.

Small organizations without dedicated render farm techs will benefit greatly from RenderFarmer Lite's ease of use, while retaining the ability to quickly expand capacity.

The reduced maintenance is a big timesaver as well. No other solution can offer to manage all the render node software for you, from operating system to render engine. No software maintenance, installations, patches, etc.

Simply install it on one dedicated computer, and it will bring up to 8 render nodes up from bare metal via network boot. It never touches the hard drives in the render nodes, so it's simple to use spare computers and laptops for a big job and then just reboot them when you're done. They'll reboot into their previous state with no trace of the render farm software.

Supported render engines include Maya, Blender, BMRT (RenderMan), and many more! The "custom" job type can be used to support any render engine that has a command line rendering option that can run on Linux. See the Features page and the RenderFarmer Lite main page for more details.

Both editions have the same graphical interfaces to control render farm deployment, fast node addition and removal, and job submission.

New feature in beta testing (please inquire if interested in Beta Program):  Provisioning virtual render nodes on demand from the Amazon EC2 Compute Cloud!

Read more about our testing in the Linux Admins Blog. But the heart of this new feature is the ability to rent custom designed "virtual" dual Xeon render nodes for 45 cents US per hour. They can be provisioned in just moments and instantly join your render farm and get to work on your renders! The minimum usage time is just one hour (as per Amazon) and there is no contract or ongoing fee. This is the easy way to put extra CPU power in place -- as needed and on demand -- without touching or buying a single piece of hardware!  Pricing info and details

Tell the developers:

Would you use "virtual" dual xeon render nodes from Amazon EC2 for 45 cents (.45 USD) per hour? No contract, no minimum, no need for your own render farm hardware!

Installing a Linux server to control a render farm is too technically demanding for me...
